Stories can hold many truths and many uncertainties. Our editorial assessments are specific, revisable, and separate from artistic interpretation.
The framework
Quadruple Logic is a framework developed by Innocent Oketa. Rather than declaring an entire account true or false, it breaks the account into individual claims. It considers factual correspondence separately from the correctness of the reasoning or explanation offered for what happened.
Our research process informs the public filing classifications below. A confirmed detail never automatically confirms a witness’s interpretation, a visual depiction, or a supernatural explanation.
A particular claim is supported by the available published evidence. This does not establish other claims in the same story.
A particular claim has not been established with the available material. This is not a statement that every aspect of the account is false.
A particular claim cannot currently be assessed by material evidence within the studio’s research capacity. It is not a confirmation of a supernatural explanation.
Interpretation & evidence
Films, performances, characters, and images are artistic expressions. Only documented, explicitly published sources and reasoned claim assessments belong to the public Evidence Room.
Corrections
Assessments can change as evidence changes. Revisions are recorded, and published corrections should be visible alongside affected claims. Contact the studio to raise a correction.
